The 2025 paragliding season in Colorado kicks off on **March 23rd**. Get ready to experience the thrill of flight amidst the stunning Rocky Mountains.


Montana


In Montana, the season starts a bit later, on **May 10th**. The wide-open spaces and breathtaking scenery of paragliding the Flathead Valley of the Big Sky Country await you.


7-Day Paragliding Certification Course


Overview


The 7-day certification course at Many Feathers Paragliding School is designed to provide a comprehensive and immersive paragliding experience. This course is perfect for those who want to achieve their P2 (Pilot Level 2) certification in a short period of time. Over the course of a week, you’ll learn the essential skills and techniques needed to become a proficient and safe paraglider.


Course Structure


Day 1: Introduction and Ground Handling


The first day is all about getting familiar with the equipment and learning the basics of ground handling. You’ll practice inflating and deflating the paraglider, as well as controlling it on the ground. This is crucial for building the muscle memory and confidence needed for safe launches and landings.


Day 2-3: Launching and Basic Flight and Basic Maneuvers


These days focus on launching the paraglider and controlling it in the air. You’ll learn how to properly launch from a hill or mountain, as well as how to steer, pitch control, speed bar use, rear riser control and maintain altitude. These sessions will help you get comfortable with the feeling of flight and improve your control skills.

Day 4-5: Advanced Techniques and Safety


The middle days of the course cover advanced techniques such as turns, stalls, and emergency procedures. You’ll also learn about weather conditions, airspace regulations, and how to read wind patterns. Safety is a top priority, so you’ll practice various emergency scenarios to ensure you’re prepared for any situation.

Day 6: Solo Flights


By the sixth day, you’ll be ready to take your first solo flights. Under the supervision of your instructor, you’ll launch and fly independently, applying all the skills you’ve learned throughout the week. This is an exciting and rewarding experience that marks a significant milestone in your paragliding journey. Today we will try to stay up or possibly a tune up tandem depending on the students comfort level.

On the final day, you’ll undergo a comprehensive evaluation to assess your skills and knowledge. If you pass the evaluation, you’ll receive your P2 certification, which allows you to fly independently with certain limitations on conditions.
